Catherine M. Rodriguez, Partner to the firm, is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell. Ms. Rodriguez graduated cum laude from Tufts University (1988), Medford, Massachusetts, and obtained her law degree from the University of Florida (1991). Ms. Rodriguez is a member of the Florida Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District and the Middle District of Florida. Ms. Rodriguez acquired extensive trial experience in the seven years she served as an Assistant State Attorney and as a Broward County Assistant County Attorney. While an Assistant County Attorney, Ms.Rodriguez concentrated in the areas of personal injury and wrongful death, trying several personal injury cases to successful results. While a partner at Conrad & Scherer, LLP. in Fort Lauderdale, Ms. Rodriguez represented business clients involved in business and employment disputes and also handled negligence and medical malpractice claims. During her 17 year career, Ms. Rodriguez has represented victims involved types of personal injury cases including but not limited to: in motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall, negligent security, battery, assault, and medical malpractice. In the employment arena, Ms. Rodriguez has represented public and private sector employers and employees in a wide variety of employment matters including, but not limited to: Title VII, Florida Civil Rights actions, American Disabilities Act (ADA), Whistleblower actions, Florida Medical Leave Act (FMLA), American Disability and Employment Act (ADEA) and cases involving non-compete and non-solicitation agreements. Ms. Rodriguez has handled a broad range of commercial litigation actions such as business torts, real estate disputes, breach of contract and unfair and deceptive trade practices. In the family law arena, Ms. Rodriguez has handled a wide range of disputes including but not limited to: divorce, separation agreements, alimony, child support, child custody, relocation, modification of judgments, modification of child support, modification of alimony, marital settlement agreements, pre-nuptial agreements and domestic and international child abduction pursuant to the Hague convention. Ms. Rodriguez' vast experience in business litigation, has given her an advantage in representing spouses who hold business interests as assets. Ms. Rodriguez broad legal experience in the areas of personal injury, employment litigation, family litigation and business litigation enables her to assess each dispute with a unique and global perspective and her extensive varied background has provided her a solid base to vigorously represent her clients to the best of her ability.
